Berne Jazz Festival

Held at Posthorn Square and the Kornhausplatz from June 10-15, 2026, featuring 50+ international jazz acts across three stages. Tickets start at CHF 20 for the main stage; arrive by 5 PM to secure a spot on the grassy areas near the stage. The festival partners with local breweries for exclusive beer flights.

FEBRUARY

Zibelemärit

Bern's oldest traditional market on February 17-18, 2026, at the Marktplatz. Vendors sell Zibele (spiced bread) and regional cheeses from 8 AM to 4 PM. Entry is FREE; sample the Zibele with melted cheese at the historic St. Peter's Church courtyard. The market closes at 4 PM sharp.

JULY

Bernese Mountain Festival

Takes place at the Bernese Alps' foothills near the Aare River on July 3-4, 2026. Features alpine sports demonstrations, yodeling competitions, and cattle herding displays. Tickets cost CHF 15 for adults, CHF 5 for children; bring your own picnic as vendors are limited. The festival starts at 9 AM with the traditional "Hornblowing" ceremony.
